VI Peels are offered as a series, not as single treatments. Pigment, acne and texture change gradually, and a series of [4] peels spaced about [4] weeks apart is what gives you optimal results. Your post-peel home kit is included with every peel.

What to expect, day by day
Your Peel Week
Day 0
Application takes about [20–30] minutes. Expect mild stinging that fades quickly. You'll keep the solution on for at least 4 hours, then wash as directed.
Your peel
Days 1-2
Before peeling
Skin may feel tight and look slightly tan or flushed. Most people go about their normal routine.
Days 3–5
Peeling
Light to moderate peeling, mostly around the mouth and nose. Let it shed on its own and don't pick.
Day 7
Peeling is usually finished. Skin looks smoother and more even, and results build with each peel in a series.
Results
Planning for an event? Book your peel at least 2 weeks ahead so peeling is finished and your skin has settled.
Aftercare
Follow your post-peel kit instructions exactly.
Don't pick or peel skin that's shedding.
Avoid sweating, saunas and direct sun until peeling is done.
Skip retinoids, acids and exfoliants until your skin has fully peeled.
Wear SPF 30 or higher every day, especially during a series.
Who should wait or choose another treatment
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Allergy to aspirin, phenol or hydroquinone
Isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the past 6 months
Active cold sores, infection or open wounds in the area
A current sunburn, or recent waxing or laser in the area
If you get cold sores, tell us before your peel. We may recommend an antiviral beforehand.

How many VI Peels do I need?
Many clients see a difference after one peel. For dark spots, melasma or acne marks, most do a series of [3–4] peels spaced about [4] weeks apart, then maintenance as needed.
Does the VI Peel hurt?
Most people feel mild stinging for a few minutes. The formula contains phenol, which has a numbing effect, so discomfort fades quickly.
How long is VI Peel downtime?
Peeling usually starts around day 3 and finishes by day 7. Most people keep working, though you may prefer to plan quieter days while you're actively peeling.
Is the VI Peel safe for darker skin?
Yes. It's formulated for all skin types, including deeper skin tones. We choose the formula carefully and pair it with aftercare that protects against new dark spots.
VI Peel or microneedling for acne scars?
A VI Peel is better for the dark marks acne leaves behind. Microneedling is better for textured, pitted scars. Many plans use both, spaced a few weeks apart.
