SAFETY FIRST

A medical treatment, handled like one

A good faith exam, a quick medical assessment by a licensed provider, is required before your first IV. We review your health history and medications, check your vitals, and make sure the drip you've chosen is right for you. IVs are placed by our licensed nurse practitioner using sterile, single use supplies, and you're monitored throughout your infusion.

HONEST EXPECTATIONS

What IV therapy can and can't do

IV fluids rehydrate you quickly, and many clients say they feel refreshed afterward. Research on vitamin drips for wellness is still limited, so we won't promise cures or "detox." If a symptom points to a medical issue, we'll send you to your doctor.

What TO Expect

YOUR VISIT

  1. Good Faith exam

Your first visit starts with a short medical assessment. [It can be completed before your appointment.]

2. Your Infusion

Go right back to your day. A small bruise at the IV site is the most common side effect.

3. After

Relax in a comfortable chair while the drip runs, usually [30–60] minutes. Bring a book or catch up on email.

Before your IV: eat a light meal and drink water beforehand. It makes the IV easier to place.

Who should not receive IV therapy

Your good faith exam will confirm this, but IV therapy may not be right for you if you have:

  • Kidney disease or reduced kidney function

  • Congestive heart failure

  • A known allergy to any ingredient in the drip

  • Pregnancy, unless cleared by your OB

Why clients choose SKIN for IV therapy

Every drip is reviewed by our nurse practitioner-led team, not chosen from a menu without a medical check. You'll get a calm, private setting and honest guidance about what an IV can help with.

We see clients from Plainsboro, Princeton, West Windsor, Cranbury and South Brunswick.
